WELLNESS VISITS

A lifetime of study and practice have changed my understanding of pain, stress, and the factors that interfere with healing and health.

I've developed a system for trouble-shooting the body-mind system through simple muscle response tests, coupled with natural therapies including acupressure point stimulation and therapeutic nutrition.

My new “Ask-the-Body™” approach zeros in on the source of your problems and eliminates diagnostic guesswork, so we can clear things up quickly.

Our practice now uses Virtual Visits to balance tension and restore your alignment.

The cornerstone of our practice is our proprietary A.S.A.P™️  System. In brief, we use a series of tests on our online meeting platform to determine your body’s priorities, then I guide you in real time toward making the necessary connections. More detail on components of the system down the page. Most changes are initiated by stimulating (rubbing) acupressure points.

The power to heal you is inside, and this is an efficient way to access it and help effect the changes you need.

Virtual Wellness Visits allow us to talk and work in real time, while you relax and enjoy your visit in your home or office, without the wasted time and stress that come with travel.

How I can help you

Back and neck pain, TMJ (jaw joint) trouble, shoulder, arm, wrist and hand (including carpal tunnel and tendinitis), hip, knee, ankle, foot pain and weakness; sciatica, headaches (including migraines), scoliosis and postural imbalance.

Health Issues

Low energy and drive, insomnia, chronic fatigue / fibromyalgia and chronic pain, toxicity,, food and inhalant sensitivities, immune/autoimmune issues; respiratory, digestive, menstrual and menopausal distress, recurrent yeast and blood sugar imbalance and other internal problems.

Wellness Care

Stress management, athletic and academic performance enhancement, enjoy rather than endure pregnancy. We can help you stay young and vibrant throughout the life cycle.

Health Education

Dr. Marmorstein can provide customized live online lectures or training for your group. He is preparing to develop live training for doctors in A.S.A.P™, and other online learning opportunities for others as time permits. Please contact us by email if you are interested.

Modalities & Techniques

Techniques that support brain-body communication

A.S.A.P.™ stands for: Assisted Self-Alignment Protocol.

I developed my new A.S.A.P.™ method to take maximum advantage of your brain's ability to optimize in every aspect of body function—including its alignment.

Over the years, ASAP has grown to include and simplify many of the healing modalities that I've learned and taught along the way.

The use of Applied Kinesiology, or Muscle Response Testing allows the practitioner to make decisions about when it’s time to work with body alignment, nutrition, or emotional stressors or triggers, for example. Other less commonly known therapeutic interventions are described below in more detail. A specialized branch of muscle testing allows me to get the same information that I would if we were in the same room.

UNDERSTANDING STRUCTURAL ALIGNMENT

Structure governs function. If a little kid were drawing a human being, they would show a head on top of a neck. The front of the body would look like a box with arms and legs coming out of it. Perhaps some hands and feet would sprout, as well. You would not see the back half of the body, at all.

You wouldn't see a rib cage with the middle back attached to it, or complex shoulder girdles or hips. All of these structures determine how well we move, and how well messages travel back and forth between the brain and the body, keeping everything coordinated. A distorted ribcage can affect the organs within it, the spine and breastbone. Breathing and digestion can improve dramatically, and spinal stability can be improved by handling ribcage imbalances.

THE IMPORTANCE OF CRANIAL ALIGNMENT TO HEALTH

The head is not just a face and ears. It is a world within itself composed of 22 bones, a strong protective lining which surrounds the brain, 12 pairs of cranial nerves, as well as sensory structures like the eyes, ears, nose, and tongue. Along with the spinal nerves traveling through the body, they allow us to have a dynamic human experience by keeping us attentive to the "news and traffic reports" within us, so we can adapt to life in a creative and safe way.

Most doctors receive no training in how to correct imbalances and poor alignment of the bony plates in our movable skulls. This is unfortunate, because almost everyone needs this kind of attention due to head injuries from bangs, jerks, pressure from dental procedures and even the birth process we go through. Fortunately, a combination of a few easily applied steps is usually all it takes to remedy the situation.

Other Structural Alignment Procedures

We are more familiar with the alignment of the spine by chiropractors or osteopaths. Spinal manipulation and adjustments are commonly practiced in many countries by chiropractors and osteopaths. Doing a good and complete job of this is a complex task that does require skill, and traditionally some strength. A.S.A.P.™ emphasizes precise analysis rather than force.

A.S.A.P™ recognizes the relationship between the acupuncture meridian system and the body’s ‟neuromusculoskeletal” system. This makes it possible for the body to re-align itself internally. Many people experience the non-forceful aspect of ASAP to be more comfortable to receive than what they've been used to, especially those who are injured, the elderly, children and babies, and pregnant women.

In ASAP, we also look at shoulders, hips, forearms, hands, and fingers. We also treat people with trouble in the hips, knees, lower legs and feet.

  • Muscles move and support the body. Unless they ‟turn off” because messages from the brain to the muscle get disrupted. A.S.A.P™ treatment can flip the switch that allows the muscles to go back to work. Muscle imbalances, left unchecked, guarantee that bone alignment, posture, and nerve-related physical and functional problems will require more care. If the same muscle attaching to the neck is strong on one side and weak on the other, the vertebrae in the neck will be pulled to the side. Chronic problems became chronic for a reason!

Applied Kinesiology, or Muscle Response Testing, gives us other benefits. It came into use during the  1960s. It can be used to measure whether something we eat, drink, or breathe helps or harms us, I have used it extensively in my practice to help me determine how to treat you effectively, efficiently and safely.

  • When we get hurt, the original injury may heal, but leave behind chronic problems that may seem unrelated.

Yes: we fall, get cuts, burns, sprains, fractures and concussions. We also undergo medical and dental procedures that are rough on the body, even when they are necessary. These include surgeries, mammograms, root canals and more. Injury Recall Technique can help us recover flexibility and improves general healing after physical trauma

  • Our nervous system learns to react to specific events (physical and verbal) by turning muscles off. A.S.AP.™ testing shines when it comes to detecting whether a body position, the surface we stand on, a color, or even specific words tend to trigger us into losing energy and muscle strength. Being scared of the dark as a little kid can ‟install” a tendency to react badly to being in a dark room or closing one’s eyes at night. There are specific points that simply disable this poor adaptation to normal living. The effects of Trigger Elimination are long lasting (perhaps permanent).
